Official Community Plan – Draft Ready for Feedback

The District of Hope has completed the initial draft of the Official Community Plan (OCP), and we want your feedback! During the first round of community engagement, several key themes were identified that shaped the direction of the plan:

  • Preserve and Enhance Community Character – Protect and enhance Hope’s unique mountain community character.

  • Support Community Well-Being – Encourage healthcare services, address climate change, and integrate First Nations history and culture.

  • Attract Residents and Businesses – Grow the tourism industry and diversify the local economy.

  • Downtown Vibrancy – Develop Downtown into a high-quality, attractive, mixed-use cultural hub.

  • Promote Compact Land Use – Direct future growth into established urban areas.

  • Multi-Modal Connectivity – Build an active and accessible transportation network.

Now, during the second round of public engagement, we want to hear from you:

  • Do these key themes reflect your vision for the future of Hope?

  • Does the draft OCP capture the direction you’d like to see for our community?
