🌬️ Wind Advisory – UPDATED A renewed Wind Advisory is in effect for the Fraser Valley, including Hope.
• Southwesterly wind gusts up to 90 km/h • Timing: Late this evening through early Wednesday morning • Impacts may include: – Downed trees and branches – Power outages – Blowing debris and hazardous travel conditions
Winds are expected to ease Wednesday morning but will remain gusty.
🌧️ Rainfall Advisory – UPDATED Another round of heavy rain is moving through the area.
• Rainfall totals: 60–80 mm • Timing: Now through overnight tonight • Conditions: – Periods of heavy rain this afternoon and evening – Pooling water on roads and in low-lying areas – Possible travel delays – Risk of localized flooding and landslides in vulnerable areas
🌊 Flood Watch – Fraser Valley (Ongoing) River levels and tributaries remain elevated due to ongoing rainfall and snowmelt. Please stay well back from unstable banks and fast-moving water.
🚧 Community Impacts & Monitoring District crews, Hope Fire Department, and Operations teams continue to monitor conditions and respond as needed. Cleanup and infrastructure repairs remain ongoing following last night’s storm.
