District of Hope – Grant-In-Aid Program
The District of Hope provides financial assistance to local non-profit organizations through the Grant-In-Aid Program. These grants support programs, activities, and events that strengthen community well-being, encourage volunteerism, and benefit residents of Hope and surrounding areas
Application Deadline
October 15, 2025
Late applications will not be considered.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must be a registered non-profit society within the District of Hope area. Funding is not available for:
- Direct financial assistance to individuals or families
- Services that duplicate senior government or local agency mandates
- Provincial or national fundraising campaigns
Funding Categories
- Seed Grants – for new agencies or societies in the formative stage (up to 50% of establishment costs; available once).
- Special Projects – for unique events or activities (available for three consecutive years or once every three years).
- Special Capital Expenditure – for purchase of necessary capital items (District contribution up to 25% of cost, balance from other sources)
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- Completed Grant-In-Aid Application Form
- Current financial statement and budget
- Detailed description of the project and its community impact
Applications are reviewed by District Council against the established policy, criteria, and conditions of funding. Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered.
