🚧 Bi-Annual Sewer Main Flushing – August 24 & 25

The District of Hope Operations Department will be conducting bi-annual sanitary sewer main flushing in several areas throughout the community on August 24 and 25, 2026.

📍 Locations include:

Area: Home Restaurant
Work location: Alley
Limits: 7th Avenue to Kawkawa Lake Road

Area: McDonald’s Restaurant
Work location: Raab Street and Corbett Street
Limits: Nelson Avenue to 5th Avenue

Area: Rolly’s Restaurant
Work location: Alley between Water Street and Fraser Avenue
Limits: Hudson’s Bay Street to Coquihalla Street

Area: Wallace Street
Work location: Alley
Limits: 3rd Avenue to 4th Avenue

Area: 3rd Avenue
Limits: Fort Street to Commission Street

Area: Kawkawa Lake Road
Limits: Summer Road to Johnson Road

🏠 If you are in an affected area, please:
• Close all toilet lids
• Place a towel over each lid
• Place something heavy on top of the toilet seat to help prevent back pressure during flushing

High-pressure water is used during this work to remove grease and debris and clean the sewer mains.
