🔥 Campfire Prohibition in Effect for the District of Hope 🔥

To help reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires, a campfire prohibition will take effect throughout the District of Hope beginning:

📅 Thursday, July 16, 2026
⏰ 12:00 PM

This prohibition is being implemented in coordination with the BC Wildfire Service and Coastal Fire Centre and will remain in effect until October 31, 2026, or until it is rescinded.

The prohibition does not apply to:
🔥 CSA/ULC-approved portable campfire devices that use briquettes, liquid fuel, or gas
🍳 Propane, gas, or briquette-fueled cooking stoves

Please do your part to help protect our community, neighbouring properties, and surrounding forests during wildfire season.
