💧 District of Hope Receives $175,000 for Wastewater Infrastructure Planning

The District of Hope has been awarded $175,000 in funding through the Government of Canada's Build Communities Strong Fund to support long-term wastewater infrastructure planning.

Hope's wastewater collection system, originally constructed in the early 1960s, includes approximately 49 kilometres of gravity sewer mains and 7 kilometres of forcemains. This funding will help the District continue planning for future infrastructure needs, ensuring the system can continue to support our growing community for years to come.

Strategic infrastructure planning helps the District identify future upgrades, prioritize investments, and make informed decisions that protect public health, the environment, and essential municipal services.

We appreciate the Government of Canada for supporting investments that help the District of Hope build resilient and sustainable infrastructure.
