🚰 Boil Water Advisory Rescinded – Silver Creek Water System 🚰

The Boil Water Advisory for the Silver Creek Water System has now been lifted.

Following the completion of system chlorination and flushing, three consecutive sets of water samples have tested negative for both E. coli and total coliform bacteria. Fraser Health has confirmed that the water is safe to consume and has approved the removal of the advisory.

Residents connected to the Silver Creek Water System may now resume normal water use. Boiling water is no longer required for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, preparing infant formula, or washing ready-to-eat foods.

District staff will also conduct an after-action review to help determine the potential source of the contamination. It is important to note that water samples collected immediately following the initial notification, prior to disinfection, tested negative for both E. coli and total coliform bacteria.
