Water Connection & Disconnection Request Package
Planning to connect, disconnect, or decommission a municipal water service within the District of Hope? This package provides the form and information required to request water service activation, shut-off, or permanent decommissioning. Water service requests help ensure work is completed safely, scheduled appropriately, and carried out in accordance with District bylaws and operational requirements. Advance notice allows District staff to coordinate service requests and minimize disruptions.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Before submitting your application, please consider the
following:
- Determine whether you require a water connection, water shut-off, or water service decommissioning.
- Complete all required property and owner information.
- Ensure the applicable service fee has been paid in accordance with the District's Fees and Charges Bylaw.
- Submit your request with a minimum of 24 hours' notice, unless the request is an emergency.
- Confirm
the requested date and time for service.

Additional information may be requested depending on the nature of the request or the property involved.
SCHEDULING
Water service requests are completed by District staff
during normal operating hours. While every effort will be made to accommodate
requested dates and times, scheduling is subject to staff availability and
operational requirements. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for
standard service requests unless an emergency situation exists.
