Water Utility Amalgamation Project
The District of Hope hosted a Public Information Session on Tuesday November 2, 2021 to explain and outline the scope of work required and associated costs to perform upgrades to the District of Hope water utility with the amalgamation of the 753 Water System into the District of Hope’s Water System. As well, District of Hope Water Utility Amalgamation Project Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1477, 2020, to authorize the District to borrow a sum not exceeding $1.8 Million Dollars over fifteen (15) years, was explained, along with the Alternative Approval Process which provides opportunity for elector response in the specified area.
The specified area are those properties currently connected to the water system, or have the water service to their property frontage.

Formal notification of the Alternative Approval Process (AAP) will take place in early 2022, whereby the electors will be given the opportunity to submit Elector Response Forms if they are opposed to the borrowing.
