Solid waste collection

November 22, 2021

Due to the unprecedented flooding and resulting road closures, Recycle BC has notified the District of Hope that curbside glass collection is temporarily suspended effective Nov 22, 2021.

The District of Hope is asking residents to hold onto glass bottles and jars until the situation is resolved.

Collection will still occur this week for all streams; Garbage, Green Waste and Recycling (except for glass).

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

As an exception to this, residents that received collection on Friday of last week will only have Recyling and Green Waste collection.

November 18, 2021 3:44pm

Residential solid waste collection will resume on Friday November 19, 2021 for those residents that normally have Friday collection.

Residents that have missed collection this week will have all streams (garbage, recycle, green & glass) collected on their regular day next week.

Commercial collection resumed today and will continue Friday and Saturday as necessary.

Should Highway 7 close to commercial vehicle traffic, collection will not occur.
