Notice of Public Hearings
Council will hear the views of the public during the following live-streamed meetings in order to assist them in deciding whether the proposed amendment bylaws should proceed.
The public is encouraged to submit comments and questions pertaining to the proposals in writing; they will be read at the Public Hearing to be live-streamed on the District of Hope Facebook page. You are not required to have a Facebook Account in order to watch the District of Hope Public Hearing. Comments and questions can be submitted:
- In writing to Jas Gill, Director of Community Development, firstname.lastname@example.org, or to Donna Bellingham, Director of Corporate Services, email@example.com, or faxed to their attention at 604-869-2275; or
- In writing to the District of Hope, Box 609, Hope, BC V0X 1L0 or delivered to the District of Hope Municipal Hall at 325 Wallace Street; we have a mail slot at the front door.
Submission deadline dates for each Public Hearing are noted in the Public Hearing files below.
Although it is preferable to submit a written comment, if the public would like to speak to Council during this live-streamed Public Hearing, please contact Donna Bellingham at 604-869-5671 in order for your name to be added to the speaker’s list. You must pre-register to speak at a Public Hearing.
Should the provincial and federal governments recommendations for holding public gatherings change prior to a Public Hearing, the meeting will be held in Council Chambers in the District of Hope Municipal Hall, 325 Wallace Street, Hope, BC. Please check the District of Hope’s website or contact the District Hall at 604-869-5671 to see if the format for the Public Hearing has changed.
