Formally created in 1999, the District of Hope Fire Department is a result of an amalgamation of the Kawkawa Lake, Flood/Laidlaw/Silver Creek and Hope Fire Departments.  Today our department serves the municipality and surrounding areas providing fire suppression and emergency response as well as public education and safety training.

Hope’s three fire halls house various fire apparatus including 3 Engines, 2 Tenders, a CAFS Squad and Incident Support Unit.  The department consists of a paid Fire Chief and Volunteer/Paid on Call Firefighters.

Members train weekly on Thursday nights and new recruits are considered annually for basic training.

Applications for membership can be found here.
